Searching and Browsing

How do I do a quick search?

From the home page, type a keyword in the search box and you’ll get a list of all auctions and lots containing that keyword. You can optionally select a category or location to refine your results

How can I find auctions near me?

From the auctions listing page, click on the location tab and enter your postcode. Click on the radius dropdown and select a distance from 10 to 100 miles. This is the distance, as the crow flies, from the postcode you entered.

In the results you will now see all auctions taking place within the radius of the postcode you entered.

You can further refine your search by selecting from the Category and Auctioneer dropdowns or by entering a keyword

How can I find auctions in my industry or area of interest?

From the auctions listing page, click on the “Category” dropdown. You will now see the top level categories together with the number of auctions listed in each. You can either click to see all auctions in the category, or you can further refine your search by clicking the down arrow and then the specific sub category you want to view auctions in.

Alternatively, in the page header, hover over “Auctions” and click the category or sub category you are interested in from there.

How can I be notified of forthcoming auctions I’m interested in?

Once you have performed a search, as above, you can click the “Create Alert” button immediately below the filter options. When a new auction matching your search criteria is added to the site, you’ll be sent an email notification with a link to the auction.

How can I save searches for future use?

If you prefer not to receive e-alerts, but would like to save searches for future use, perform your search then click “Save Search” and give it a name. Then when you come back to the site in the future, you’ll be able to run the same search again using the “Searches & Alerts” in “My Account”.

How can I see current auctions by a specific auctioneer?

Select “Auctioneers” from the menu in the header. Enter a few letters from the auctioneers name and then click into the auctioneer you are looking for. Scroll down and if the auctioneer has any current auctions listed on the site, these will be listed below the auctioneer’s contact details.

How can I add auctions or lots to my Watchlist?

You need to Create an account first and then you can simply click the heart icon that appears over the main auction image. The heart icon will turn orange and the auction is added to your watchlist, which you can view in the “My Account” area. To remove an auction from your watchlist, simply click the heart icon again from the auction list view, auction detail view or from your account.
