We may collect the following information: name and job title, company name, email address, your address and postcode, telephone number, your auction interests and email preferences. We require this information so we can send you the information you have requested, allow you to use the website and online bidding services and also to understand your needs and provide you with a personalised service.
If you wish to use our online bidding services to bid on lots listed for sale we will ask you for a valid credit or debit card. This is required as an additional security measure to verify your identity. Your card details are held securely by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

Information you provide may be used by us and/or our affiliates to:
a) identify and respond to you when you make direct enquiries or requests to us
b) administer any accounts, services and products provided by us
c) undertake marketing & customer analysis
d) help prevent and detect fraud or loss
e) contact you about other services and products offered by us, and selected partners (provided you have given us prior consent)
We may use the data gathered about your usage of the Auction News web site to promote our services to third parties who may have an interest in trading with us. At no point will personally identifiable information about you be shared with such parties. Information sent to external parties will be from a general perspective of the Auction News website usage.

Please note we do not take payments for lots purchased using our online bidding services. These payments are handled by the auctioneer. Before placing a bid please refer to the terms of payment for the auction you are bidding at.
For magazine subscriptions, all online payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store any credit/debit card details you enter on our site and all credit/debit card information is transmitted using secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to our payment providers.
Auction News is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant and our status is reviewed and validated annually by our payment providers Stripe. Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
