Lithgow Sons & Partners were formed in 1868 and have been serving the people and businesses of Teesside from their offices and sales room in Middlesbrough ever since.

In the early 1970’s, Lithgow Sons & Partners moved from their central based premises in Middlesbrough to their current 9 saleroom complex in Stokesley. From here the company can now provide auctioneering, valuation and surveying services throughout the North Eastern sections of the country from the city of York up to the border with Scotland.

The specialist auction department was recently reinforced by a fully licensed, commercial and residential property department who add extra services to the North East. The Stokesley complex comprises of 9 individual salesrooms which total over 30,000 sq ft in area, a lifting facility capable of handling loads up to 5 tons, a 2 acre tarmacked car park, easy access loading ramp and fully computerised accounting.

Each month, numerous sales are held offering a wide range of tools & equipment, household & antique furniture, plant equipment, motor cars, commercial vehicles, catering equipment, office supplies and much more. Twice a year the company holds auctions containing fine wines and boats.

Currently, Lithgow Sons & Partners act on behalf of the County Court, The Sheriffs Office, HM Revenue & Customs, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, KPMG and many more.
