Since the mid 1990’s, Ramco have been handling genuine surplus government equipment and have grown to become one of the UK’s largest channels for miscellaneous government supplies.

In 1996 the company competed against 2000 national companies wishing to handle surplus Ministry of Defence equipment, making the final shortlist. The following year Ramco were awarded an MOD disposal contract which covered 2 out of 8 UK regions.

In the early noughties the company was awarded another MOD disposal contract for handling catering equipment. Following this, Ramco signed a contract with the BBC to manage the sale of unwanted video equipment. In 2015 the company signed a two year contract to manage the disposal of assets from the closure of a major international airport terminal which included air bridges, escalators, check in desks, lifts and baggage handling equipment.
