2019 is shaping up to be the most exciting year yet for William George and we have the inside track on what you can look forward to this calendar year…
Thursday 28th February marks the closing date of William George & Co’s first ever live webcast auction.
Entries are currently being invited in the category of watches, jewellery, art, antiques and collectables with the consignment deadline on 7th February.
Jake, Head of Business Development at William George, is excited about the expansion.
“The live webcast format can encourage more competitive bidding It helps us to achieve the best possible prices for consigned items – and also brings the thrill of the saleroom to bidders from the comfort of their own sofa!
We are looking for watches, jewellery, art, antiques and collectables to form an amazing catalogue to be presented for live bidding on Thursday 28th February at 2pm so whether you want to sell, buy, or both then don’t miss out!”
This is just the tip of the iceberg for WG - as they are known to their regular customers – as they are set to launch their incredible Seller Hub in the spring. The Seller Hub will enable first time and trade sellers to consign their own lots to auction, select the dates, design bespoke marketing packages, request payments and much more with just a few clicks of the mouse.

Their constantly improving website has already adopted a brand new ‘Live Chat’ feature which enables bidders to ask questions from experienced auctioneers if they want to know more about a particular lot, the auction itself, or anything else that comes to mind. “By removing obstacles for both buyers and sellers along the journey we are seeking to build a fair and transparent experience that attracts reliable and returning customers” explains Mark Falco – Head of Marketing.
Following the launch of The Seller Hub, Mark explains that a loyalty programme is in the pipeline to give additional features and discounts to customers who join William George on the journey as they continue to innovate throughout 2019.
