19th March 2020
At Auction News we care about our staff and
our customers and recognise that the COVID-19 pandemic will affect our team and
all of you in many different ways.
The Auction News team will all now be working from home for the foreseeable
future, with the exception of myself and my wife Alison, who are planning to
staff the office Monday to Friday and we also have plans in place to cover any
staff absence due to illness.
Whilst the office is now closed to all visitors until further notice, you can still contact us for assistance in the usual way by telephone or email. If you call the office number directly and select the department you require, your call will be diverted to the mobile phone of the relevant member of staff.
Auction News will continue to offer a full service in order that people know what auctions are being held. At the time of writing, we cannot predict how severely the restrictions on people’s gatherings and movement will impact on the auction industry over the coming months, however, it’s fairly clear already that a slowdown to some degree is inevitable.
Regarding getting out and attending auctions
or viewing goods for sale, be sure to follow the very latest Government advice,
which of course is changing almost daily as the situation develops.
Please do your utmost to look after your own personal safety, that of your
loved ones, indeed of everyone, and be especially considerate of anyone who may
be more vulnerable than yourself.
With sincere best wishes,
Steve Payne
