Classic Vehicles & Automobilia Auctions | Eighteen Eighteen Auctioneers

3rd February 2022

Ends from: 13 February 2022 18:00 BST

These two complementary auctions have plenty to offer.

The five lots in the Classic Cars & Vehicles catalogue take buyers back to the 1930s with two excellent Rolls Royces, before fast-forwarding to the 1970s with an MGB GT and a Mobylette Motobecane XI folding moped. It finishes with a flourish a decade later with a Sinclair C5.

The Automobilia auction boasts 200 lots of lamps, horns, hood badges and mascots, motor engine components and even spare bumpers and windscreens.

Diving deeper into the Classic Cars & Vehicles catalogue, there are three stand out lots:

Lot 801, the Rolls Royce 20/25 Hooper LWB Landaulette (6-light with division and occasional seats) was first registered in 1934. That registration was then restored in 1989. This Scottish show car was the only one of this body style coach-built by Hooper. It was bought by the current owner in 2003 and has been well maintained and improved with a total engine re-build and work on the clutch, crankshaft, bearings, cylinder block, radiator, carburettor and water pump. Drives very well with very sound bodywork.

Registration No: VS2709. Chassis No: GWE34. Engine No: X7W. MOT: current.

Lot 802: the Rolls Royce 20/25 Park Ward Formal Saloon (6-light with wind up division and occasional seats) was first registered in 1935. Coach-built by Park Ward, it was bought by the current owner in 1993. The car has been well maintained and improved with a complete engine overhaul and work on the brakes, wheel bearings, battery, flywheel, exhaust system, cylinder, and water pump. Drives very well with very sound bodywork.

Registration No: CGC490. Chassis No: GEH28. Engine No: J4P. MOT: current.

Lot 803: this MGB GT classic car, first registered in 1975, has been dry stored for over 20 years and will require some re-commissioning. It starts and runs having had a new battery fitted, drives and has good oil pressure. It’s fitted with a Weber twin choke carburettor and part stainless steel exhaust system, and shortly before going into store it was fitted with new front wings, doors, sills, floor pan rear wings. It also had a total re-spray. Having been raced in the 1990s in both England and Holland, it is fitted with a roll cage, racing seat belt harness, and fire extinguisher. The suspension has been lowered and the car has alloy wide Wolf wheels.

Registration No: KDP295P.
