For CVA It is Destination Scotland

19th September 2019

They have acquired premises on Starlaw Business Park in Livingston and will hold their first auction on Thursday 10th October with subsequent auctions every month thereafter.

CVA management have been considering expansion into Scotland for some time and have had encouragement from their blue chip customers in the North who are keen to support the new operation. CVA will seek to continue and expand their customer base in Scotland within their key market sectors of hauliers, local authorities, rental companies and the leasing and finance industries. Despite the uncertain political and commercial climate CVA have committed to significant investment in Scotland and will take a long term view of their development of this new business initiative.

CVA have been established as the UK’s leading commercial auction house for many years and were founded in 1989 with a head office in Doncaster. In May 2013 CVA opened a new auction hub in Hemel Hempstead, a few miles North of London. The sustained growth and continued success of the Hemel Hempstead operation is the business template that has underpinned the move to scotland.

Over the last few years the number of auctions held each month in Hemel Hempstead has doubled, the number of vehicles going through each month has trebled and the number of vendors and buyers has seen double digit growth every year. CVA have built strong and enduring business relationships with vendors in the south which is best illustrated by the fact that the London auctions are permanently over-subscribed.

CVA appreciate the need to attract the best staff in the business and have increased and improved a dynamic management team in recent years. The current management team demonstrate a wide range of skills and specialist knowledge within the commercial auction industry. Success of the new venture in Scotland will create new career opportunities for people in Scotland in the months and years ahead.

CVA are now taking entries for their first auction in October. A wide range of vehicles will be available each month including trucks, vans and cars alongside industrial and agricultural plant. The very latest technology will allow buyers to bid remotely on-line or by telephone as well as in person on site. Vendors and buyers in Scotland now have another option in Commercial Vehicle Auctions, CVA are here to serve and here to stay.
