Thimbleby & Shorland are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their team as a Plant & Machinery Auction Assistant.

This varied and hands-on role supports the smooth running of their plant and machinery auction operations. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring each auction event is executed efficiently and to the highest standard, working closely with internal teams and clients.

Job role tasks required but not limited to:

• Assist in organising and setting up plant and machinery auctions with precision and care.

• Coordinate with auctioneers to ensure all auction documentation is correct.

• Carry out inventory checks and follow-up processes after each auction.

• Photograph and listing a variety of lots for auction.

• Carry out auction processes both onsite and offsite sale grounds.

• Driving a variety of machinery.

• Heavy manual handling.

• Moving auction items by hand or forklift truck.

• Working alone or as part of a team.

• Travelling to offsite auctions.

• Carry out collections and deliveries in company vehicles when necessary.

• Full clean UK driving license essential.

Thimbleby & Shorland are looking for someone who is keen to learn, adaptable and ready to thrive in a dynamic auction environment. A strong work ethic, flexibility, and a practical approach are essential. The role offers the opportunity to join a friendly and experienced team within a well-established auction house.

This is a full-time position, 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
