In recent years the market has sought to diversify from its traditional livestock roots with the introduction of regular collective machinery sales on the Livestock Market site, which is ideally situated for both vendors and purchasers.
Welshpool Livestock Market offers customers an excellent, modern sales facility with hard standing for all lots and an indoor sales area for smaller items. There is a large car parking area with designated lorry parking. Loading and storage are available aswell as Office/Restaurant/Toilet facilities within the main building. 24 Hour Security is in place before, during and after any sale.
Each sale attracts between 800-1200 lots and is split into 3 sections:
SALE 1; Sold inside the main building, consisting of smaller new & used workshop, garden, household and office equipment.
SALE 2; Sold outside. Consists of a large and varied range of new & used Livestock handling and feeding equipment, larger Workshop/Gardening/Builders tools and equipment, Ride On Mowers, Wheels & Tyres etc.
SALE 3; Sold outside. Tractors, Loadalls, Vehicles, Plant Machinery, Quads/ATVs, Trailers, Rotaspreaders, Tankers, Balers, Cultivation and Harvesting equipment, Tractor Sundries etc.
All lots in SALE 3 are sold live on the Internet via the online bidding platforms 'ibidder.com' & 'bidspotter.com'. This service regularly attracts close to 200 online customers, logged on and ready to bid at our sale. This service also allows us to publish photographs of all lots in sale 3, maximising exposure to all prospective purchasers.
We offer competitive rates of commission in all sections, and encouage early entry of lots to allow us to advertise the sale both locally and nationally as well  as through our website and across all social media. As part of the sale we do hold full and part dispersal sales which have proved very successful.
The sales regularly attract a large crowd of local purchasers with buyers also attending from all over the UK, Ireland, Europe and Africa all looking to source good quality Machinery and Vehicles etc.
