Welshpool Livestock Sales (WLS) is a long-established auction house in Mid Wales and the Borders, renowned as one of the largest prime lamb markets in Western Europe. The team conducts weekly livestock sales, including prime lambs, prime cattle, cull ewes and cows, as well as seasonal store sheep sales. Fortnightly sales of cows, calves and store cattle attract buyers from across the UK, with annual volumes exceeding 500,000 sheep and 10,000 cattle.

In recent years, WLS has diversified with regular collective machinery sales, offering everything from chainsaws to tractors. The modern sales facility features indoor and outdoor lots, hard-standing, loading and storage and 24-hour security.

The market is supported by extensive facilities including a conference and meeting centre catering for 1–150 delegates, with onsite parking, disabled access and complimentary Wi-Fi. WLS operates as part of the Morris, Marshall & Poole with Norman Lloyd partnership, combining livestock, property and auction expertise.
