BTG Eddisons Expands Liverpool Property Agency Team With Ian Steele Appointment

10th September 2026

Real estate consultancy BTG Eddisons has expanded its North West property agency operation with the appointment of respected Liverpool property adviser Ian Steele as a director.

Steele joins the firm's Liverpool office after seven years as a principal at Avison Young, having previously held the role of senior director at GVA. He will work alongside property agency directors Robert Diggle and David Baker, with a primary focus on office agency and development.

A well-established figure in the North West property sector, Steele brings more than 30 years of experience across the Liverpool and Manchester office markets. His expertise spans office-led developments, office agency and occupier consultancy, and he will help strengthen both BTG Eddisons' development pipeline and its wider property agency offering.

Luke Tillison, head of transactional at BTG Eddisons, said:

“We are really thrilled that Ian is joining our Liverpool agency team, working alongside Rob and David. He is very well established and highly connected in the Liverpool market and brings a strong profile and network with him.

“Ian will play an important role in growing our property agency work in Liverpool and, importantly, in building a stronger development and refurbishment pipeline.”

He added:

“BTG Eddisons already has a strong agency team in the city, and Ian’s appointment gives us the scope to build on that, with someone who knows the market exceptionally well. He will also work across Manchester and the wider North West as the agency division grows.

“While his experience is centred on offices and development, Ian has the breadth and expertise to work across the wider market and that flexibility will be invaluable as we continue to develop the business.”

The appointment forms part of BTG Eddisons' wider growth strategy across its northern operations. Alongside established agency teams in Sheffield and Bradford, the firm is also expanding its Manchester presence, with associate director Paul Parker moving from the BTG Eddisons auctions team into the agency division.

BTG Eddisons' Liverpool office has also welcomed several new appointments across the wider business in recent months.

Tillison said:

“We’re continuing to invest in experienced people in the key markets across the north and bring that expertise together across the business.

“Ian’s appointment gives us a strong presence in the Liverpool market and creates opportunities to develop our property agency work across the wider North West.”
