Scotland’s first Classic Vehicle Auction of 2019 is going to be a key date in the calendar for fans of restorations and modified cars. This Saturday 23rd, will see over 150 great entries going under the hammer from a stunning 1960 Austin Healey 3000 MKI (guide £38,000 - £40,000) to the Fast Fords that the auction is gaining a name for with a noteworthy entry being the 1988 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth (£18,000 - £20,000). As always there is great diversity in the lots, from Fast Fords and BMWs to a beautiful selection of truly vintage cars.
What sets this auction apart is the number of high quality modified and restored cars, with the 1996 Nissan Skyline GTR R33 (Guide price £18,000 to £20,000) sure to be a favourite with all the mod fans and petrolheads alike, boasting 540BHP from a modified RB26 engine, this car is fast and loud!
There’s also a rare modified 1986 Mercedes 190E Cosworth (one of only 39 registered in the UK) which the owner tells us it was fully restored 200 miles ago, presented with a full respray in the original body colour with full leather interior. Estimates are £15,000 to £20,000.
The auction also sees a fully restored 1965 Land Rover Series IIA 88", the current owner of approximately 7 years began a meticulous and professional "ground up" restoration by Land Rover specialists "Country Mile Garage" prior to which the vehicle was fitted with a new galvanised chassis with documentary evidence and finally a complete bare metal repaint by the Audi accredited Paint Shop in Perth. The vehicle has been converted from Diesel to Petrol and since the restorations completion has only covered some 1400 miles. Estimate £18,000 to £20,0000
