Eddisons Strengthens Plant & Machinery Division with New Sales Director

Eddisons has expanded its UK plant and machinery division with the appointment of Antony Reed as its new Director, reinforcing the firm’s growing asset sales operations.

Antony joins the Leeds-headquartered company from industrial auction specialists Surplex, where he led its UK division. With a background in industrial machinery sales at Apex Auctions and experience in the metalwork and engineering sectors, he brings extensive industry expertise to his new role.

At Eddisons, Antony will be part of the UK-wide plant, machinery and machine tools sales team, which in 2024 facilitated the sale of over 18,000 business asset lots, generating more than £6.5 million. The team handles a diverse range of assets, including commercial vehicles, industrial equipment, catering supplies and gaming platforms.

Commenting on his appointment, Antony said:
“Economic and environmental factors are driving the demand for asset sales. Businesses facing high interest rates, energy costs, and rising rents are increasingly looking to surplus equipment as a means of generating cash.
