GJ Wisdom Host American & British Classic Car Auction

G.J.Wisdom & Co Auctioneers was recommended to Paul (the son) for the sale of his father’s classic car collection which he had been maintaining, collecting and showing for some 25 years. With limited knowledge and a severe physical disability, it was clear the family needed some professional assistance.

When Garry Wisdom FNAVA of G.J.Wisdom & Co met with Paul at his father’s yard in Swanley, Kent, it was apparent help was needed. The yard, which from the outside appeared to be a run-down coach yard, strewn with rubbish and hordes of junk, had three battered sheds & four wind torn gazebos which housed the collection.

Garry, as a classic car collector himself, was initially hesitant, but when the sheds were opened, gazebos un-zipped and tarps pulled back, it soon became apparent this would be an interesting sale, with a good cause. Garry agreed our services to Paul and arrangements were made for our team to uncover, clean & catalogue these for an On-Line Auction. So, with a bucket, sponge, spare batteries and a jump start we attended the yard and one by one, pulled out and catalogued nine cars which now appear live On-Line via our website www.GJWisdom.co.uk

As an Auctioneer & Classic Car enthusiast, Garry and his team are excited to see where the sale of these vehicles will end up, but perhaps behind the business of it, it’s just as important to be able to offer a reliable, honest and professional service to assist in what has been a hard time for the family and we hope we can do justice to the cars but more to the owners.
