Halls auctioneers hold a “tremendous” Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale

The 2005 Massey Ferguson 7480 and 2006 Valtra N121 with a Quickie Q55 Loader that sold for £17,000 and £21,500 respectively at Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale.

Halls auctioneers reported a “tremendous” Shrewsbury Plant and Machinery Sale on April 12, with nearly 1,000 lots entered.

The sale included genuine farm machinery, several part dispersals and a good entry from dealers. Highlights were £21,500 for a 2006 Valtra N121 with a Quickie Q55 Loader from a local farm and £17,000 for a 2005 Massey Ferguson 7480 with 11,000 hours on the clock.

Other leading prices included £14,000 for a 2013 Mallone Trojan MT-42 forage wagon, £12,000 for a 2008 Land Rover Defender 90 with 66,000 miles and £11,500 for a 2000 Same Silver 100.6 4WD.

A 2002 DOW 14T grain trailer made £8,000, a 1996 Ford 5030 4WD c/w Tanco Power Loader sold for £6,500, a 2011 Cherbourne Power Mix Pro 13 mixer wagon made £6,400, a 2019 6 Rota 8.4m Mallone Tedder and a Prattley mobile sheep handling system made £6,000 each and a 2009 Richard Western 12 tonne silage trailer sold for £5,600.

Other leading prices were £3,500 each for a 8ft Ifor Williams LM187 flat bed trailer and a 25ft Warwick bale trailer, £3,400 each for a Land Rover Defender 90 with 170,000 miles and a 2014 Claas Volto 800 6 rota folding tedder, £3,200 for a Richard Weston eight tonne silage trailer £3,150 for a 2008 Lely Splendimo MC900 butterfly mower, £3,100 for a New Holland BR760 round baler and £3,000 each for a Massey 14 tonne dump trailer, a Teagle Tomahawk 1010 straw chopper, a 2.5m five-leg Shakerator with packeroller and depth wheels, an Ifor Williams TA210 tri-axle stock trailer and a 1200 Bowmag roller.

“We would like to thank the vendors and buyers for entering and buying the machinery and implements for this sale,” said Jonny Dymond, Shrewsbury Auction Centre manager and senior Halls auctioneer. “Another big sale is already expected on June 7, with catalogue entries closing on Monday, May 27.”
