Managing director of the UK’s largest auction house network, Adam Pye, has been appointed as a director of Turnaround Management Associations UK (TMA).
A global organisation with over 8,000 members in 20 countries, TMA brings together professionals from across the globe to meet, network and hear the latest news within business recovery, corporate turnaround and restructuring.
Adam Pye, of John Pye Auctions, has been chosen by the organisation to be a part of its distinguished board of directors and will be responsible for the key decision-making process within TMA; guiding it forward to be a recognised entity nationally and globally, and championing its mission to be known for its thought leadership and networking within the sector.
John Pye Auctions sells a wide range of stock and assets from iPhones to sofas and property to vehicles through weekly online auctions, working with major UK high-street retailers, insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, government agencies and agents.
The business has grown rapidly in recent years to become one of the UK’s leading online auctioneers, and with over 420 staff at sites across England, Scotland and Wales, the business has a dedicated team of specialists focussing on the valuation and realisation of assets across the market place.
Adam said: “To be an official part of TMA means a lot to me and the whole team at John Pye. As an industry recognised body with such a great reputation and credibility within its sector, being part of such a highly recognised organisation will help endorse our brand and allow us to give years of experience and expertise back to the industry.
“It’s been a very exciting and busy year for John Pye but this is certainly both a highlight and an honour. I’m looking forward to meeting members of TMA and working with the wider team to ensure TMA continues to provide a high-level service to its members which in turn will further strengthen the turnaround industry.”
Adam’s appointment marks yet another milestone in what is John Pye Auctions’ 50th year of business. The firm has been marking the achievement with several business development announcements to further bolster its client and customer service offerings, hosting celebration events and giving back to the communities in which it trades.
As well as TMA, Adam is also an official member of International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), NAVA Property Mark and the Royal Association of Chartered
Surveyors (RICS).
