This was auction 5 of 9 on your 2019 calendar and the largest so far this year. Such a great variety of equipment on offer brought buyers flocking to the sale both in terms of footfall and online registrations - a great advert for the power of online auctions.
Total online registrations were up by a 3rd on the previous sale’s record-breaking total, a staggering upturn and testimony to the sheer magnitude of the June auction. More of the same for July…

Direct hire fleet equipment was a mixed bag but commanded a premium all day. With such a great offering trade buyers were keen to fill their boots as much as they could.

A very similar story on ring 2 comprising an excellent entry of ex-fleet equipment which achieved over 90% clearance.

Ring 3 - Large Contractor’S Plant, Grounds Maintenance, Agricultural, Vehicles & Trailers

Entries to ring 3 have been consistent all year with another yard full on offer. Quality remains good and for the most part demand is strong. Buyers were a good mix from both the UK and overseas, and made up a nice split of both traders & end-users. Grounds maintenance Another great show of 250 lots consigned, Good quality lots including ride-on mowers were a pleasure to sell. There was a useful selection of compact tractors with some very strong prices, the ever-increasing consignments of agricultural tractors are also continuing to strengthen sale on sale… looking forward this is an area we feel can be expanded upon. The export market remains strong with both the mainland & Eastern Europe being the main destination for the higher end. Equally the UK market appears strong. The big selection of vehicles and trailers forward commanded a solid trade. Vehicles are now on their own dedicated ring and attracted a large crowd of buyers. A great selection of contractors plant forward with plenty of buyers to suit. Larger telehandlers and 13t excavators have softened slightly however 7m telehandlers and excavators under 8t continue to command strong prices. Generators continue to remain sticky but were selling to a good export contingent.
