G J Wisdom & Co Auctioneers & Valuers began as a family-run business, serving the Industrial & Commercial sector in 1987.

Our ethos has always been to not only meet, but to exceed, our client’s expectations and this practice has seen our client base steadily increase year on year.

Much of our work is via recommendation and with a growing number of Auctions (over the past four years alone they have increased from 54 Auctions in 2015 to over 90 so far in 2019).

Garry Wisdom heads up our successful team and he conducts the initial Client Meetings, as well as carrying out Site Visits & Valuations.

Garry’s son, Shane Wisdom, joined the business in 2012 after serving as a Specialist in the Royal Navy and he is now in charge of Sales, Advertising & Marketing for the company. Over the past seven years Shane has gained a wealth of knowledge and is also qualified to carry out Valuations. Our additional members of staff also work extremely hard and enjoy being part of our thriving team.

In recent years we have steadily increased our sales turnover reaching £1.4 Million for this year alone. In 2017 we handled our largest sale to date and realised £3.7 million, as a result of administering the entire sale of Vertu.

Since then we have acquired additional premises in order to be meet the ever-growing demand to remove, store and auction goods on behalf of our clients and we look forward to another successful year in 2020.
