BPI Auctions Generate Over £200,000 in Asset Sales for Paddington Construction Following Business Closure

Following the cessation of trading for Paddington Construction, BPI Auctions successfully managed the sale of the company's extensive woodworking and metalworking machinery, raising over £200,000.

Paddington Construction, known for its high-quality steel-framed bathroom pods for commercial and private developments, had a 15-year history of significant growth, expanding into a purpose-built facility in North London. When the company ceased operations, they sought a trusted partner to manage the asset disposal process efficiently.

To maximise returns, BPI conducted two separate online auctions. The first focused on woodworking and joinery equipment, featuring high-specification machinery. Key assets included a 2022 Weinig Cube Plus 4 Head Planer Moulder, a 2019 Weinig Powermat 700 CNC Planer Moulder and a 2023 Anderson Genesis Evo 510 CNC Router.

The second auction offered metalworking and fabrication assets, which included a 2023 Bodor P3015 Fibre Laser Cutter, Durma CNC press brakes, guillotines and various MIG welding equipment.

Collectively, the auctions attracted over 140 registered bidders from the UK and internationally, generating a combined hammer price exceeding £200,000. Buyers included joineries, fit-out specialists and fabrication companies, highlighting the effectiveness of BPI's targeted marketing strategy.

BPI provided a comprehensive suite of services, including asset appraisal, cataloguing, cleaning, preparation, hosting viewings, marketing, coordinating collections, machinery moving, and final site clearance. The entire process was completed within seven weeks.
