Over 200 engineering and fabrication assets have been successfully sold as BPI manages the complete disposal project for the global commercial kitchen equipment manufacturer.
Asset disposal specialists BPI have successfully completed the sale of more than 200 engineering and fabrication assets on behalf of global commercial kitchen equipment manufacturer H+K International.
The disposal formed part of changes to H+K International's UK manufacturing operations, with BPI appointed to manage the sale of the remaining production assets from the company's Rugby facility.
The online auction featured a range of high-spec CNC fabrication equipment, including Bystronic Xpert press brakes, a Bystronic BySprint Fiber laser cutter, Trumpf and Amada machinery, Air Plants fume extraction systems, as well as substantial quantities of tooling, workshop equipment, steel racking and pallet trucks.
Working from the client's site, BPI managed the project from start to finish, including marketing the assets, hosting a buyer open day, coordinating the decommissioning and lifting of machinery weighing up to 18 tonnes and overseeing collections. To help maximise returns, one of the key assets was sold through a negotiated sale, while an extended collection programme ensured the safe and efficient removal of both smaller equipment and larger machinery.
Jamie Senior, Associate Director at BPI, said: "This project demonstrated the importance of careful planning and specialist knowledge. Alongside marketing the assets to the right buyers, we coordinated the decommissioning, logistics and collection of large, high-value machinery, providing the client with a fully managed disposal service from beginning to end."
Gary Furniss for H+K International said: "We were looking for a partner that could manage the disposal professionally and efficiently while allowing our team to remain focused on our operational priorities. BPI handled every stage of the project, from marketing the assets through to coordinating collections, making the entire process straightforward and well managed."
The disposal was completed over six weeks, with all assets successfully removed from the site within the required timeframe.
