BPI has announced a new partnership with NMT International Shipping UK Ltd., designed to support international buyers and underpin the continued growth of its plant and machinery sales.
As BPI expands its machinery offering and strengthens its position within the sector, the business is taking practical steps to enhance the end-to-end buying experience for customers both in the UK and overseas. The collaboration with NMT forms part of this wider strategy, providing international buyers with clearer, more efficient routes to export machinery, plant and vehicles purchased through BPI.
The partnership enables overseas buyers to access NMT’s Roll-on / Roll-off (RoRo) shipping services directly for assets acquired via BPI. NMT will manage export requirements and onward transportation, offering a streamlined process from point of purchase through to final delivery.
Machinery and transport equipment remain a cornerstone of UK exports. Figures from the UK Parliament House of Commons show that machinery and transport equipment accounted for 37% of UK goods exports to the European Union in 2024, making it the largest single export category to that market during the year.
Kevin Gardner, Commercial Manager at BPI, commented: “As we continue to grow as a business, it’s important that we also enhance services that support both our UK customers and those buying from overseas. Machinery and transport equipment represent a substantial share of UK exports and this partnership directly supports that sector.
“By working with NMT, we can offer a practical shipping solution that helps international buyers move equipment purchased through BPI into global markets more efficiently.”
Craig Jennings, UK Sales Manager at NMT International Shipping, added: “We’re looking forward to seeing what this partnership can deliver for businesses and individuals looking to move machinery and equipment around the world.
“With 32 offices worldwide and a trusted network spanning more than 50 countries, we provide customised import and export services for a wide range of cargo, including cars, vans, trucks, machinery and oversized static goods. Our focus is on making logistics straightforward and reliable.”
The partnership reflects a broader trend within the auction sector, where service-led solutions are increasingly playing a role in supporting international trade and widening buyer participation.
