BPI has supported a leading UK modular building manufacturer through a far-reaching programme of online auctions, overseeing the phased disposal of surplus equipment and generating more than £1.15 million in hammer sales across 28 auctions and over 2,000 lots.
As a longstanding client, the manufacturer relied on BPI to deliver a structured disposal strategy that ensured strong financial returns, efficient site clearance and the responsible redistribution of assets across multiple locations.
The asset mix reflected the scale and diversity of the company’s operations, comprising plant and machinery, CNC and woodworking equipment, materials handling machinery, fixtures and fittings, racking, trolleys, building supplies and significant volumes of consumables. Each auction demanded meticulous cataloguing, accurate asset presentation and coordinated marketing to equip buyers with the confidence to bid.
The programme consistently attracted high levels of engagement from both UK and international buyers. Targeted digital promotion helped each sale reach relevant audiences across manufacturing, construction, modular production, plant hire and wider industrial sectors - supporting competitive bidding and ensuring reliable values were achieved throughout.
Sustainability was also a core outcome. By returning surplus assets to active use, the programme reinforced circular economy principles, reduced waste and helped extend the working lifespan of quality equipment and materials.
Reflecting on the partnership, James Mellars, Commercial Director at BPI, said: “We are proud to have supported this company across such a comprehensive series of sales. The strength of buyer engagement demonstrates the value of a structured approach to asset disposal and the positive outcomes that can be achieved when assets are remarketed effectively.”
Backed by transparent communication, dependable processes and timely delivery, BPI ensured each stage of the project met the client’s objectives and contributed to a smooth, accountable asset disposal programme.
