After what has been a challenging period for everyone, next weekend will see the first post-lockdown, LIVE IN-PERSON EVENT hosted by Asset Realisation Services, with their latest Classic Vehicle auction at their HQ in Sollom, near Preston.
Asset Realisation Services (ARS) is a relative newcomer to the world of Classic Car Auctions but as well as their power tools and site equipment sales they had already hosted several successful sales prior to lockdown and are making a name for themselves selling a diverse catalogue of modern classics for car, motorbike and novelty vehicle enthusiasts. One of their first classic car events, a barn-find sale attracted interest from CNN news and Apple news alerts which resulted in over 1 million views and they’re hoping to build that interest again.
On Saturday July 31st they have their first LIVE event auction since lockdown restrictions have been eased and they’re expecting quite a crowd.
“As with all our auctions, the lots are available to view online on our website, where registered users can also bid during the auction, but we’re now ready to also welcome buyers back to our facility near Preston where they can see the lots and also bid as part of Live auction too. It’s going to be great to be able to host live events again” explains Nathan Richardson MD of Asset Realisation Services
Interest in their catalogue is already high, with collectors and restorers alike taking note of the diverse array of vehicles on offer.
Highlights of the catalogue so far include:
1987 Mercedes SL 420 Auto
1989 Jaguar XJS 5.3 HE Auto
1999 Saab 93 SE Sport Turbo
2010 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Auto LHD
1986 Ford Capri 280
1979 Porsche 911 SC Targa
And in the non-car catalogue there are 3 vintage Ford tractors, one of which has only ever been used for moving light aircraft around and a vintage ERF classic coal wagon.
Also as part of the auction is a Yamaha Diversion bike, recently refurbed and used in a charity bike ride and now available within the auction with all proceeds from the sale being donated to Cancer Research.
It will be interesting to see how this auction proceeds and what interest it draws from attendees. The event will continue to operate with sensible covid precautions.
