Euro Auctions Expands US Footprint with California Acquisition

Family-owned auctioneer strengthens its North American network as The Auction Company joins the Euro Auctions group.

Euro Auctions has expanded its presence in the United States following the acquisition of California-based The Auction Company, adding two auction sites and further strengthening its reach across North America.

The move brings The Auction Company's established operations in Colton and Madera, along with its Murrieta office, into the Euro Auctions network. The California locations will work alongside the group's existing US business under the Yoder & Frey brand, creating a stronger coast-to-coast presence.

Both businesses are family owned and have built their reputations around customer service, long-term relationships and professional auction expertise. The acquisition also adds to Euro Auctions' wider international network, which spans North America, Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.

Established in 2003 by Claudia Knopp and Steve Gorin, The Auction Company has become a respected auction business serving contractors, rental firms, transport operators, municipalities and government agencies throughout California and the western United States. Its auctions cover construction machinery, heavy equipment, rental fleets, trucks, trailers, vehicles and government surplus assets.

Knopp and Gorin will continue leading the business alongside their existing team, ensuring customers retain the same local service while benefiting from Euro Auctions' global marketing reach and international buyer audience.
