More than 200 lots of metal processing equipment, heavy-duty plant, vehicles and site infrastructure previously operated by Acetech Metals Ltd are being offered in an online auction following a business rationalisation. Managed by BPI Asset Advisory on behalf of a major finance company and the liquidators of Acetech Metals Ltd, the sale brings a wide range of industrial assets to market.
Acetech Metals established a strong reputation in UK metals recycling, processing ferrous metals and aluminium for domestic and export markets. Operating from two large yards in the North of England, the company carried out a range of recovery operations, including magnetic separation, shearing, shredding and baling, alongside the processing of used beverage cans (UBCs), tinplate and ferrous material recovered from waste-to-energy facilities.
The catalogue features a substantial selection of processing and separation equipment, including a 2009 Magnapower ECS 1500RE eddy current separator, a material separation system with an Ecohog Airhog vacuum system, a Richards PX100/2G thermal reclamation system and a Harris Selco 516 twin ram hydraulic baler. Screening equipment includes Powerscreen Warrior 1400 tracked screens, an Erin Fingerscreener 165T and a Powerscreen Commander towable screener.
Heavy-duty handling equipment includes a Volvo L350F 56-tonne wheeled loader and a 2007 Doosan DL400 22-tonne loading shovel. Other assets include a 2004 Kalmar DCE160-12 18-tonne forklift and a 2021 JCB 8026 CTS mini excavator. Several JCB Teletruks and telehandlers are also available, including a 2019 JCB 30-19E electric model and a 2013 JCB 535-125 Hi-Viz.
The transport fleet comprises two 2014 MAN TGX 26.440 tractor units, a 2008 Terberg YT1852 hooklift truck and a 2004 ERF tanker rigid. Supporting transport equipment includes a TTC four-axle low loader and an 80-tonne gooseneck low-profile trailer.
The sale also features a broad range of supporting plant and site infrastructure, from diesel generators up to 600 kVA and Evapco and Baltimore Aircoil cooling towers to mobile and inclined industrial conveyors. Bunded fuel tanks and bowsers, compressors, pumps, site cabins and welfare units complete the offering.
Luke Hartshorn, Director at BPI Asset Advisory, commented: "This auction offers a wide range of assets including metal processing, separation lines and balers as well as heavy-duty loaders, screening plant, haulage vehicles and site infrastructure. The disposal offers end users, dealers and trade an opportunity to add to their existing offerings. We expect strong interest from recyclers, aggregates and demolition businesses, plant hire companies and contractors who want to increase capacity or renew their fleet. The complete Bano processing line and Mansfield shredder with feed and delivery systems are offered for sale separately, by negotiation."
The assets are located in Scunthorpe. Due to ongoing site activity, viewing is strictly by appointment and is scheduled for 2 November. To arrange a viewing, contact Carol Allen at [email protected].
The online auction closes on 3 November 2026. The full catalogue and bidder registration are available at https://hubs.li/Q04CCBQg0.
