2nd July 2024
Nottingham-headquartered, national auctioneer John Pye Auctions is celebrating a decade of supporting Trent Bridge and Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) this year – a milestone which marks the longest-standing corporate partnership ever for the iconic sports venue.
To celebrate the special anniversary, the Notts Outlaws will play in a commemorative red kit for their scheduled T20 match on Sunday 7th July against Birmingham Bears. The limited-edition, match-worn, signed shirts will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Trent Bridge Community Trust. Bidding will start on Sunday 7th during the game for anyone wanting to try and get their hands on a piece of local cricket history.
Since becoming the club’s leading partner in 2014, John Pye’s name has proudly adorned Nottinghamshire’s men’s and women’s team shirts. Last year East Midlands’ women’s team, The Blaze, was also added to the portfolio - with the side recently being confirmed as one of eight Tier One teams in a restructure of the women’s professional game.
The family-owned business is the UK's leading commercial auction house network – offering the most varied collection of online auctions sales. To further strengthen its partnership with the Club and continue to raise its profile amongst cricket fans across the country, John Pye Auctions recently signed a partnership extension that will see them continue to support the Club through to 2028.
Adam Pye, John Pye’s Managing Director, said: “As a proud Nottingham firm, we have always been passionate about supporting local sport and giving back to the community. Our decade of partnership with Trent Bridge and the NCCC has allowed us to do just that while helping us grow our reputation nationally. Trent Bridge provides a stage for fans of all ages to enjoy world-class cricket on home soil and the values and goals of the Club and players perfectly align with our own.
“The celebrations in July are a fitting tribute to our ten years’ collaborating and will hopefully raise much-needed funds to support Trent Bridge Community Trust who provide a sporting chance to disadvantaged people in Nottinghamshire. We’re looking forward to enjoying this special partnership for many years to come, supporting grassroots sport and future generations of world-class cricketers.”
Michael Temple, NCCC’s Commercial Director, added: “The steadfast support of John Pye Auctions has been hugely significant over the past ten years.
“Their support of our charitable initiatives has been invaluable and it’s typical of their generosity in that regard that these shirts will be auctioned off in aid of the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the Outlaws sporting their special-edition shirts as a gesture of thanks, and to our partnership continuing in the years to come.”
