John Pye & Sons Ltd, a leading national auction house, has appointed Carlie Martin as Government Contracts Manager following a series of successful contract wins.
Carlie, who joined the company in 2016, has gained valuable industry experience across the Business Development and Luxury Assets teams. In 2024, she played a key role in securing six new high-value supplier contracts. She also contributed to John Pye's appointment as a new supplier on the NEPO procurement framework for the managed remarketing of vehicles and plant, a milestone announced last month.
In her new role, Carlie will manage John Pye’s public sector contracts and framework agreements. Her responsibilities include developing the auctioneer's tender strategy, negotiating contracts and renewals with government agencies, and facilitating the acquisition of surplus or seized assets for auction. Additionally, Carlie will focus on maximizing revenue, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the bidding process for government disposal contracts.
"I'm thrilled with my new appointment," Carlie said. "John Pye has had an exciting period of growth, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the bid team to uncover new opportunities, support our clients, and maximize value for both John Pye and government organizations."
Based at the company's Nottingham headquarters, Carlie will report to Director Addison Pye and manage several members of the Tender Bid team.
Addison Pye commented: "Carlie has been a tremendous asset to the business, and this promotion reflects her hard work and dedication. Her ability to build strong client relationships has been invaluable, and it’s great to see her focusing on this important area of the business."
