BPI Asset Advisory, a RICS-regulated valuation and disposal specialist, has been appointed to manage the sale of assets from Dempsey Dyer Limited following the company’s closure in December 2024. Joint Liquidators David Robson and David Broadbent of Gaines Robson and Begbies Traynor were appointed on 17 December 2024 to oversee the process.
Founded in 1977, Dempsey Dyer Limited, based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire, was a respected manufacturer of high-quality uPVC, timber, and aluminium windows and doors for domestic, trade, and commercial customers. Despite a concerted marketing effort to secure a buyer for the business, the company ceased trading, and its assets are now being sold via a two-day online auction.
About the Auction
The company operated from a 3.5-acre site with 65,000 square feet of manufacturing space, featuring a wide range of modern CNC and conventional production equipment.
Day One: Focused on timber manufacturing equipment, finished goods, and stock, highlights include:
Weinig Conturex CNC Window Manufacturing Line (6 months old)
Centauro Beta CNC Chisel Morticer

Day Two: Dedicated to uPVC and aluminium production machinery, handling equipment and support tools, featuring:

Expert Commentary
Luke Hartshorn, Director at BPI Asset Advisory, stated:
“While it is unfortunate that a buyer for the business could not be secured, this online auction provides an excellent opportunity for industry players to acquire high-quality manufacturing equipment. Dempsey Dyer had heavily invested in modern machinery, making these assets valuable to others in the fenestration sector.
We encourage interested parties to review the auction catalogue on our website and attend the scheduled viewing days.”
