Multi-disciplined surveying firm, Walker Singleton are selling the assets formerly utilised by The Book People Limited (In Administration), a specialist e-commerce retailer who ceased to trade prior to the pandemic taking hold. The entire site dispersal includes all assets located on the 10 acre site at Parc Menai in Bangor, Gwynedd.
The 128,000 sq.ft premises provide a purpose built order fulfilment facility, which includes automated carton erectors and sealers, conveying systems, low level order pickers and a wide range of storage, handling and site support equipment.
Daniel Hey, Director at Walker Singleton commented “The e-commerce and fulfilment sector has grown exponentially since this business failed, as businesses adapt to the challenges retailers have faced in the past 12 months. The principal equipment we are bringing to market is universal to most packing and fulfilment processes and as such will allow investment by those businesses who require new or additional processing capacity. Alongside the primary assets there are several hundreds of support assets ranging from a mobile library fleet, handling and warehouse plant to office furniture and over 200,000 flat pack carboard boxes.”
He added “the auction closes on the 25th March 2021 and takes place online with detailed lot descriptions and images accessible via www.walkersingleton.co.uk. Full COVID compliant inspection available in the days prior to the auction closing.”
