Following the appointment of Kelly Burton and Joseph Fox of FRP Advisory as Joint Administrators on 3 April 2025, BPI Asset Advisory – regulated by the RICS – has been instructed to market the business and assets of drainage and surveying specialist Subscan UDS Limited.
Subscan UDS, which operated nationally from depots in Yorkshire and the Midlands, built a strong reputation within the drainage and surveying sectors. Despite efforts to save the company, a combination of cashflow pressures, rising operational costs and staffing challenges led to the business ceasing to trade in April. A piecemeal disposal of assets is now underway.
Assets include a fleet of specialist vehicles such as recyclers, gully tankers, and camera inspection units, along with a wide range of portable camera systems, topographical survey equipment and mapping tools. These were deployed via a fleet of light commercial vehicles.
Over 450 lots are now available to bid on through BPI’s online platform, BPI Auctions, with bidding closing at 1pm on Thursday 22 May.
BPI Asset Advisory is actively inviting interest in the commercial vehicle fleet, drainage and inspection equipment and specialist surveying assets.
Luke Hartshorn, Director at BPI Asset Advisory, said: “Subscan’s directors took early action to explore rescue options, but the business’s financial position meant trading could not continue. We are pleased that parts of the business have since been acquired by a local competitor, safeguarding some jobs.
The remaining assets present a strong opportunity for those in the sector to acquire high-quality vehicles and equipment. We anticipate significant demand and encourage interested parties to register promptly and arrange viewings.”
Viewings are available by appointment only on Wednesday 21 May between 9am and 3pm.
