Yorkshire-based asset valuation and disposal specialist BPI has acquired a significant stake in McQueen Partnership, bringing together asset realisation and debt recovery services to offer greater support to insolvency practitioners, lenders and professional advisers.
The investment marks an important step in BPI's ongoing growth strategy, expanding its existing valuation and disposal expertise to include specialist debt recovery and credit management services for the first time.
Through the partnership, BPI and BPI Asset Advisory clients will be able to access a more joined-up approach to recovering value from both physical assets and outstanding book debts. The combined offering is designed to simplify the recovery process for insolvency practitioners, banks, asset-based lenders and accountants, helping them maximise returns for creditors and clients.
Based in Leeds, McQueen Partnership was founded in 2023 by Nathan McQueen, who brings more than 30 years of experience in credit control and insolvency debt recovery. The business provides a range of services, including debt recovery, credit control, telephone debt verification, virtual credit control management and credit management consultancy.
Its client base includes SMEs, corporate businesses, sole traders, accountants, insolvency practitioners and financial institutions. With BPI's investment and established national network behind it, McQueen Partnership will be well positioned to expand its reach while continuing to provide its existing specialist services.
Andy Cromack, Managing Director of BPI Asset Advisory, said: "Insolvency practitioners and lenders want to maximise recoveries quickly, with as few moving parts as possible. Book debts are often a significant part of what can be recovered, and having McQueen Partnership's specialist team alongside our valuation and disposal service means we can now support our clients across both. Their experience in insolvency debt recovery speaks for itself, and I'm looking forward to working closely with Nathan and the team."
Nathan McQueen, Founder and Managing Director of McQueen Partnership, added: "This is a huge moment for McQueen Partnership. BPI shares our values and our clients, and their backing gives us the platform to grow faster and help many more businesses get paid. Our clients will see the same team and the same straight-talking service, now with the strength of a respected group behind us."
The investment follows BPI Asset Advisory's acquisition of Michael Steel & Co's plant and machinery division in 2024 and represents another step in strengthening the group's services across asset valuation, disposal and recovery.
By combining the expertise of both businesses, BPI aims to provide clients with a more comprehensive service, bringing specialist knowledge and practical support together throughout the recovery process.
