The American Society of Appraisers (ASA), has appointed Tim Howard onto the International Virtual Chapter (IVC) board, as one of the Directors.
The IVC currently has well over 500 members and is looking to actively expand this membership over the next few years and broaden the number of meetings and events the organisation will host. The mission of the group is to provide a forum to exchange ideas and network with other members, while also providing educational content for interested parties. They are keen to explore ways to provide industry leading courses, with the International Virtual Chapter’s goal being the on-going mentoring of their members.
Based in the UK, Hickman Shearer is a leading independent capital asset valuation, management and used equipment sales company operating globally. Tim is also a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as a Chartered Machinery and Business Assets Valuation Surveyor (MRICS) and an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the ASA. He is planning to bring much of his industry knowledge and experience to this additional role, as he explains;
“I am delighted to have become part of this prestigious organisation, particularly as it is going from strength to strength outside of America. It is a great time to be joining and I am looking forward to using my skills to broaden membership, create more opportunities for everyone and mentor those starting out in our industry.”
As part of the initiatives for this year, the 2021 ASA International Conference, which is going to be conducted both online and in Las Vegas in October, is promising to be a timely event offering everyone the opportunity to learn and connect.
